Do you have a knack for performing pieces you don’t like and vice versa?

Mr. Selick asked:

I have a knack for Beethoven and Prokofiev, two of the composers I don’t like to perform, but just to listen to. Vice versa, I am horrible when it comes to Schumann basically because I lose my senses as days of practice go by and then I start bulldozing through pieces, like I REALLY want to finish.

I love playing Schumann though…

And I don’t even want to talk about Ravel because I can’t perform Ravel on ANY piano except my own…it’s so hard to adjust when you don’t have enough notes or you have far too many to concentrate on adjusting. That’s not the only issue. When I begin, if I don’t achieve the clarity I want from the very first bar, I start ruining the whole thing because I think, “What’s the point? With all the pedalling going on, I can never clean up the mess…”

Any similar situations…
