Yes, its hard. French and German is romanized. Russian is cyrillic

to pronounce russian is no harder than pronouncing french and german. Its a beautiful language… but what pisses me off is that I CAN’T UNDERSTAND THE FREAKING ALPHABET DER USING!! memang otak terbakar klau try…

Yes, but depends where you are. If you’re in a hotel, in the 1st floor (первый этаж), you’re will find only toilets… lol
Same if you are in any restaurant (Теремок, for example). But in a regular (russian) condo and you need wash your hands, the question on video is right.

he’s right, asking where the vannaya is will get you to a sink and tub. the tualyet is where the toilet is.

This sample looks pretty good. But why not just ask “Where’s the toilet?”

    Где туалет? (Gdye tualyet?)

    It’s much easier to remember… :)
Мне очень нравится говорить по-русский. )))

    Всего хорошего!

it’s not useless to learn Russian at all, maybe not many people speak it here that she knows, but the Russian language is spoken by many countries throughout Europe, and there are a lot more people that speak Russian around than you might think

(my husband is Russian, and I know many Russian speakers)

i really really wanna learn russian, but my mom says its useless cause no one speaks it…so does anyone know about online tutorials or books with cds that might help me learn more..PLEASE!!!
and i wanna learn german too…cause im going there soon..

All these are quite easy, except for “Where is the bathroom?”, I think that’s vital. Imagine the situation, your bladder nearly exploding and you trying to say “g-DYEH na-HOH-dee-tsa VANH-na-yah KOM-na-tah”…

For any Latin-based language speaker, Deutsch (German) is fairly hard, but all Slavic languages are really hard, and of course, those ones using Cyrilic alphabet are pure madness when it comes to learn them.
